Löwengate Castle is a square courtyard castle dominated by a Norman style keep. The courtyard is on a higher elevation than the surrounding land and is reached through a drawbridge and ramp at each of the two gates.
The main gatehouse has lion-headed corbels supporting the battlements, which give the castle its name. There is a smaller gatehouse at the back of the castle.

The courtyard features a stable, workshops, storage buildings, and a great hall. A door at the top of a narrow staircase is the only entrance to the keep, making it easier to defend in case the walls are breached.
Löwengate Castle is 25 x
20 inches (80 x 64 studs) and is about 18" high.
