Wood was the primary fuel of the Middle Ages. All
heating, cooking, metal and glass working, and pottery
depended on a steady supply of wood or charcoal. (And
charcoal is made of wood.) The man who went into the forest
and collected wood was a major part of the medieval economy.
The Woodcutter's Cart is an unusual construction because,
to make the sides wide enough, I built it upside down! Click
